Reflection
Looking Back

When I first started this journey of blog posts, I felt stressed and a little nervous about what was ahead of me. I was anxious thinking about learning new tools and being able to obtain so much new information. I have never created a blog before, let alone shared it with multiple people. Now, as I reflect on these last 8 weeks I have come to realize that it was not so bad. It is only right that I change the GIF from my first blog to the one above. This new GIF reflects how I am feeling now, which is okay!

My views on technology has not changed much. I think technology is a great tool to use in one's personal and professional life. There are so many advantages to the use of technology. It can allow educators and other professionals do their job efficiently and productively if used the right way. It can allow for connections and networking opportunities. It can also be fun to use to watch videos, play games and browse reels!
There is no doubt that technology is beneficial in education. It allows for teachers and staff to save time on certain tasks and to create and modify lesson plans as needed. Classrooms now have access to smart boards, iPads, computers and even virtual classrooms! Technology allows educators to use multiple tools to teach that were not available before! I have become more open to using technology more frequently in my learning space. I have learned to not be so scared of what I do not know about technology and to simply take it on step at a time. I was nervous of the unknown but once you are knowledgable about it, the nervousness goes away and is replaced with confidence.
I particularly enjoyed the topic about accessibility in library and education spaces! I am passionate about every individual's right to access materials! I think this topic is not spoken about too often and can be overshadowed by other topics. I am an educator and will be transitioning into the field of library information but regardless of where I am, this topic will always be close to my heart. Feel free to read more more about accessibility in the library.
In conclusion, these blog posts and all the new information that I learned is an irreplaceable. I have one semester left as a graduate student and what I learned will assist me my future classes and in life beyond school. I can honestly say that my view of technology may not have drastically changed but I feel more confident in utilizing it to my advantage. I feel that I am prepared for what comes my way and I look forward to learning more about technology!
